Palacio de Queluz - Don Quixote Room

The Queluz National Palace (Palacio de Queluz) is one of the most interesting places to visit in Lisboa. The palace's main attraction is the Don Quixote Room, where King Pedro IV came into and exited the world. The chamber derives its name from its décor that boasts inlaid wood floors and frescoes by Manuel da Costa describing the story of Don Quixote. "The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha" is considered the most influential work of literature to derive from the entire Spanish literary canon. The book is the best selling, non-religious or political, work of fiction of all time.
